01 · Booking & pickup

How do I book a scooter?

Fastest by phone at +421 948 213 898 or by email info@pozicovnakolobeziek.eu. When booking, tell us: date, number of riders, planned route (we'll suggest the right machine). We'll confirm within an hour.

Same-day booking works if a machine is available. For weekends and holidays we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead.

What are the opening hours? Can I come outside them?

Monday – Friday: 8:00 – 16:30
Weekends & holidays: by phone arrangement

Outside opening hours yes — but only by arrangement. Call us a day ahead and we'll set an exact time. In season (May – September) we're flexible up to 19:00 in the evening.

Where is the rental located?

Jarková 6, 080 01 Prešov. Right in the Prešov city centre, 800 m from the EuroVelo 11 cycle route.

Free parking for 4 cars at the building. Easily reached on foot from the centre or by the city bus lines that stop nearby.

Can I book for the same day?

Yes, if a machine is available. Call at least 1 hour before planned pickup — we need time to prepare the machine, charge the battery, and prepare the helmet. In peak season (July, August) call at least in the morning of the same day.

02 · Documents & insurance

What documents do I need to rent?

ID card or passport. For international visitors, a passport is enough — a driving license is not required.

Age limit:

  • Min. 16 years for all our Kugoo scooters (G2, G3, G4), limited to 25 km/h
Is a driving license required?

No — for any scooter in our fleet. Slovak legislation classifies e-scooters limited to 25 km/h as cycle-path-equivalent, no license needed. All three Kugoo models (G2, G3, G4) are limited to 25 km/h, so no license is required.

What's the insurance? What if I damage the machine?

The rental price includes basic third-party liability insurance (covers damage to others in case of accident). The machine itself isn't covered against damage — small scratches/scuffs are fine (normal wear and tear).

For more serious damage (broken light, bent handlebars, punctured tire) we deduct from the deposit up to 30% of the repair cost. Theft must be reported to the police together; full responsibility falls on the renter (paying for a replacement machine).

What are the age and weight limits?

Age: 16+ for all our Kugoo scooters.

Rider weight:

  • Kugoo G2: max 120 kg
  • Kugoo G3: max 120 kg
  • Kugoo G4: max 120 kg

If the limit is exceeded we can't rent the machine for safety reasons (battery damage, unstable ride).

03 · Riding & rules

Where can I ride? Cycle paths / roads / sidewalks?

Slovak law: an e-scooter limited to 25 km/h is treated like a bicycle.

  • Cycle paths: yes, always recommended (safest)
  • Class I, II, III roads: yes, if there's no cycle path
  • Highways: no, prohibited
  • Sidewalks: not for adults (only for children under 10 with adult)
  • Forest roads: yes, unless marked private
Is a helmet required?

Slovak law: required for under-15s, also required for adults outside built-up areas. In built-up areas not required for adults — but we strongly recommend and provide it free in the rental.

On the more powerful Kugoo G3 and G4 we always require a helmet regardless of age and location.

Can I ride in rain or snow?

Light rain: yes, all machines have IP54 water resistance (protected against splashing water). Braking distance is longer, ride carefully.

Heavy rain or storm: no, can't ride safely.

Snow up to 5 cm: Kugoo G3 and G4 (off-road tread) yes, the entry-level G2 no.

Snow over 5 cm or ice: no, no machine.

Can I carry a child or a second person?

No — scooters are designed for one person, double load damages the battery and frame. Also against Slovak law.

If you're going with multiple people, book multiple scooters — for 2+ people we offer a small discount (call for details).

Child seat: no, no machine in our fleet has a child seat. For families with small kids we recommend a regular bicycle with child seat (we don't offer those).

04 · Price & payment

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash — easiest, at pickup.
QR code — scan and pay instantly from your banking app.
Bank transfer — for B2B or long-term rentals, we'll provide IBAN.
Deposit: €100, always cash or QR code (cannot be invoiced), refunded the same way.

Do you return the deposit?

Yes, in full when the machine is returned in good condition. The €100 deposit is returned the same way you paid it — cash or QR code.

We deduct only for demonstrable damage (a condition record at pickup documents the state). Small scratches from normal riding = recorded as normal wear, deposit returned.

What discounts for long-term rental or groups?

Week: the base rate, €50/week per scooter (minimum rental).
2 weeks and more: by agreement — the longer you keep the machine, the better the deal.
Month / season: by agreement.
Group / teambuilding: by agreement, with free helmets + delivery within 50 km.
Couriers (Wolt, Bolt): long-term rate by agreement, see B2B terms.

05 · Specific situations

What if the battery runs low during the ride?

When you book, we give you a map with marked routes and the range of the machine. Routes are designed so the battery is comfortably sufficient.

If it does happen (strong headwind, longer detour), call us at +421 948 213 898. In the Prešov region we can pick you up by car (within 50 km of the rental, free) — we come back with you and the machine.

Tip: below 20% every machine has reduced power and top speed. Plan to return earlier, not when it drops to 0%.

What's the cancellation policy?

Free: up to 24 hours before pickup.
50% of rental price: 24-2 hours before pickup.
100%: less than 2 hours before pickup or no-show.

Alternative to cancellation: rescheduling to another day free of charge if you contact us at least 2 hours ahead.

Bad weather: if it's raining heavily in the morning of a same-day booking, we'll reschedule free — just call.

Lost key / serious damage during ride?

Lost key: €30 for a replacement (we order from the manufacturer, arrives within 7 days). Pay on return.

Serious damage during ride (puncture, accident, technical failure): call us immediately. Small issues (puncture) we can fix via the sister workshop eMobility Service Prešov within 1-2 hours.

Accident: call the police (158) if anyone is injured or damage exceeds €4,000. Call us too — we help with paperwork and insurance.
